Gossip Cop is reporting exclusively that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony hosted a dinner in honor of Sonia Sotomayor, the first Latina Supreme Court Justice. The intimate get-together was last night at the couple’s Long Island, New York home.

Gossip Cop is told the dinner was preceded by a cocktail party and attended by about a dozen people, mostly political types.

Everyone in the Lopez and Anthony camps are remaining mum about the private dinner party.

    Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall at J. Lo’s last night. I read the other sites and see that others are stealing from you. It’s a compliment, I guess. Keep posting J. Lo stories. Love her.

    It has been a long time since Jennifer Lopez last released an album, or a movie for that matter. I think her last album, On The 6, came out when I was in high school – and now I feel really old. J-Lo is supposedly releasing her new album this summer, but she is leaving Sony Records, and going to be releasing her new album, called Love? She hasn’t found a new label yet, or at least it isn’t known which one it will be. I won’t be getting any payday loans or anything to catch her on tour, if she goes on one. Since it’s been so long one wonders if she still has the chops.

    Interestingly, how pop-stars start to be concerned with politics! What is it? An attempt to remind about themselves or to show their significancy? It seems like a publicity stunt…May be I’m too sceptic, but I don’t believe that J Lo or another pop-star, withdrawn into the shadows, is really concerned with the politics, or with that justice, Sonia Sotomayor in particular. There’s another way to show your significancy. Why not to spend money on charity?

    Jennifer Lopez doesn’t know anything about politics! She wants attention for her celebrity status, OK! I support Ms. Sotomayor but don’t get involved with hollywood celebratie­s who doesn”t know enough social and political politics. She should have been more involved as a younger woman when it comes to real issues affecting hispanic community as well other minorities­. Lopez needs to check her bank account too because the rich will go down when they continue to act snooty towards the public and she can even face the need of additional cash advance common people often experience..
