“Jennifer Lopez and boyfriend Casper Smart were victims of the ex-encounter when they were forced into a brief and uncomfortable encounter with J.Lo’s ex P.Diddy at the Weinstein Golden Globes after-party,” claims Hollyscoop.

According to a “source” for the webloid, the trio had a “somewhat awkward run-in” at Sunday’s bash.

The unreliable site says, it was “the first time J.Lo has seen him in years and everyone was watching when they went up to say hello to Diddy.”

First mistake: The Weinstein party was NOT “the first time” Lopez had seen Diddy “in years.” The two, for instance, were spotting talking to each other at an Oscars party last year.

In fact, Hollyscoop reported about that meeting — similarly labeled an “awkward run-in” — when it happened last February (screengrab below).

Whoops.

And how was the singer “forced” into an “encounter” with Diddy if she willingly ”went up to say hello” to him?

Anyway, Hollyscoop’s tipster continues, “They were cordial towards each other, but J.Lo did not hug Diddy. Casper shook his hand and it was very brief. She looked like she was trying to avoid the hello, but it was impossible.”

Second mistake: Lopez actually gave Diddy a kiss on the cheek upon greeting him, multiple sources confirm to Gossip Cop.

And, as the photos below indicate, there was nothing outwardly “uncomfortable” or “awkward” about the group’s brief chat.

Furthermore, Hollyscoop’s implication that this was also Smart’s first introduction to the rapper is also misguided.

Gossip Cop is told they’ve met on at least one other occasion.

Once again, Hollyscoop doesn’t have much of a “scoop” after all.
