Jennifer Lopez Chasing Lin-Manuel Miranda Romantically?
Jennifer Lopez is not “smitten” with Lin-Manuel Miranda nor is she “chasing” him, despite a completely made-up report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this manufactured claim. We’re told it is 100 percent “wrong.”
According to the repeatedly discredited National Enquirer, Lopez is trying to “get her claws” into Miranda after the two recorded “Love Make The World Go Round” to benefit the victims of the shooting at the Orlando club Pulse. A seemingly fabricated “insider” tells the tabloid, “[Lopez] says he reminds her of her ex, Marc Anthony. And she keeps saying how they have so much in common — they’re both from New York and have Puerto Rican roots.”
The magazine then goes on to allege that Lopez is “bored” with Casper Smart. “She has been looking to trade him for someone better,” alleges the publication’s tactless source. The supposed Lopez “pal” adds in expository language, “Lin-Manuel fits the bill perfectly. He is one of the hottest stars around right now, thanks to his success in ‘Hamilton.’ And he is looking to become a big player in Hollywood.” “J. Lo has been giving him all kinds of advice and has offered to take him under her wing. She is desperate to get her claws into him,” claims the tabloid’s specious source.
Of course, it’s interesting to Gossip Cop that the outlet alleges its source is a “pal” of Lopez’s and yet somehow knows what Miranda wants, which is to “become a big player in Hollywood.” A skeptic might suspect that the Enquirer concocted the entire story, and lazily threw in that seekingly bogus quote to create a quid pro quo situation in which she’ll help him, if he gives her something in return.
In any event, Gossip Cop investigated the magazine’s claims, and a source close to Lopez assures us the singer is not romantically “smitten” with Miranda nor is she “chasing” him. Our impeccable insider exclusively tells us the tabloid’s entire premise is “wrong.” And one more thing: Miranda is happily married.
Unfortunately, we’re not completely shocked that the publication is “wrong.” The magazine actually has a fairly well-documented history of flubbing stories about Lopez. Gossip Cop has busted the supermarket tabloid on several occasions, including a report last October that falsely claimed Lopez and her ex Ben Affleck were “back on.” Actually, the outlet was way off then, and remains so with its new fabrication about her and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
