A provocatively-dressed Jennifer Lopez performed at Sunday’s 2011 American Music Awards, earning a standing ovation with a medley of recent hits.

Among the accessories she brought out were the Fiat from her “Papi” video (for some awkward product placement), and later Pitbull, who inspected her famous derriere.

    All of these celebrity “performances” are the same. Tons of dancers, strip down to barely nothing, and bump and grind as raunchily as possible. Would be nice to see someone with some class and real glamour for a change.

    Can we not talk about some gangsta’s junk? J Lo needs to give it a break. Beautiful woman, but actually tired of seeing her flaunt it so much. Of course she sucks as a singer and actress so I guess she thinks this is the only way to keep relevant.

    Yeah, it’s the same dances, over and over and over. Very boring. When is Janet Jackson coming back and doing her performances. She was great and no one can touch her, even though they steal her dance routines all the time. Shame on Them!

    I have to admit the headline made me giggle outloud. Since I know very little to nothing about music and the current scene, all I could envision was her grinding a real pitbull (dog) and that image was just too much to handle this early in the morning.

    it appears she has Demi Moore Syndrome and cant grow up gracefully. I find this lewd and bordering on pornographic. She is a mother now in her mid-40′s where she should be showcasing all she has learned but its the same routine again and again. She is NO Janet Jackson a woman who embraced every phase and stage of her life and gave it artistic expression that was sexy and always dignified. JLo has many gifts but dignity was never one of them and what a difference it makes. She is not just Jenny from the Block she is the girl who let Ben Affleck massage her generous behind in a video for all the world to see. This is not horrible but it is also not the work of a woman of class. Mariah Carey seems to be embracing the ChildWoman also. its not pretty and certainly not engaging to the audience who by now has seen it all and longs for something more compelling.

    Say what you will about her, but she looks AH-MAY-ZING for her age! I’m half her age and my joints are no where near that flexible! lol.

    I see so many negative comments above! For a 40 year old mother of 2, she literally worked the stage. How many younger performers are out there half her age who can move like that and still be able to sing and NOT lip sync? So what her personal life may have a lot of baggage but you cannot underestimate her ability as a performer who has been doing this for years.

    I had the identical response. I was actually a little disappointed it wasnt a real pitbull. Though alot grosser, it would have been more original than the usual bump and grind we have all come to expect at these award functions.

    that’s what she gets paid to do. She can’t sing. Her dancing is OK. Her acting is not bad (though it seems at moments it has gotten worse) . So, what she really does is sell sex
