Jennifer Lopez “Ain’t Your Mama” Music Video – WATCH!
Jennifer Lopez’s “Ain’t Your Mama” music video premiered on Friday. Watch below!
The retro clip has Lopez traveling through time. It actually begins in the present, with the singer-actress as a fed-up news reporter, frustrated with the continued state of women’s inequality. She’s then seen as a 1950s housewife, 1960s secretary, a 1970s factory worker, and a 1980s businesswoman shut out of meetings.
The theme throughout, of course, is women’s empowerment. And in the climax, where the women of today come together for a march, Lopez is actually wearing Manolo Blahnik boots gifted to her by Rihanna. Gossip Cop recently busted a ridiculous story that absurdly claimed Rihanna was “shading” J.Lo with the present.
The 1950s aspect of the video is reminiscent of both the lyric video and the performance Lopez gave for the “American Idol” series finale last month. As Gossip Cop reported at the time, that, too, had the superstar as an unhappy housewife. The performance gave way, though, to a very modern and very Las Vegas rendition of “Let’s Get Loud.”
“Ain’t Your Mama” is the lead single from Lopez’s next album, though a title and release date have yet to be announced. Watch the new music video below!
