Love her! And I love how Hugh ran and tried to help her!

  • desire

    jajajajaja idiot!!!!!!!

  • Just_lena_

She had the worst speech ever.

  • anne

I’m so happy she won. And she took the fall with grace and cracked a joke about it. She is seriously one of the few genuine people in the business and it’s so refreshing to see it.

  • bee

Wow best actress of her generation. You go girl!

  • V

You should write in Spanish instead

  • Chloe

OMG! I was cheering so loud for JL I can’t believe she won…I think any of the ladies/and child that could have won best actress would have been well deserved. I’m so happy for JL it was so classic and funny when she fell up the steps, and then graciously accepted her award with such elegance and class. JL is such a talent, beautiful, humble, classy women; I can’t wait to see where her career goes and what she does next.

Jennifer Lawerence falling made my night…i really dont like this chick and her acting leaves a lot to be desired…she always seems to be trying to hard to smile…just dont see what everyone sees in her

  • Rubie

I agree. She’s continually being shoved in ours faces.

  • http://twitter.com/eek_minion Anya

    oh puhlease!
she did it on purpose! they have a guy that helps you up the stairs! where was he?

this was staged to up the views, good ol’ Hollywood!

  • guest 10

Jennifer didn’t win because she was the best actress…she won because Harvey Weinstein paid for her to win. I hope she enjoys it because it cost him a lot of money. She’s so arrogant and rude and I bet being GIVEN the oscar will not change her horrible attitude.

  • Jaded28

How is it that everyone is talking about Jennifer Lawrence falling down yet not one single gossip blog, news report, or anyone has said a word about Meryl Streep picking her wedgie on the way to the podium? Is she just the revered? I love Meryl she must be the only person who can pick there butt while walking onto the Oscar stage and get away with it.

  • Jella

Such vitriol towards a young and talented actress. You sound bitter and angry and jealous…..hmmm, wonder why

  • p

Well … she won … but in my opinion she wasn’t the best of the group . The other nominees were far better actors . I will agree Weinstein made sure his muse got the gold this time around she will once again make another movie with him as a producer and with Cooper . Don’t have anything against the girl i watch her movies , she is pretty good not extraordinary but decent … but right now she is a bit overrated , i hope she doesn’t get all her luck all at once but time will tell . Not every Oscar winner continues to be successful apart from Meryl Streep and Cate Blanchett …I don’t know her personally but sometimes i think she does try a bit too hard to sound funny and witty.. anyway i wish her luck !

  • Martina

Ja ja ja …is in Spanish?!
    I don’t thinks so……

  • Martina

Lol…..unbelievable! She reminds me of myself. And I thought such a things can’t happened anyone except me.
Not like I tripped at Oscars, or been there….lol
    Jenny you are a something!

  • KagKa

I agreed with some of you guys, JLaw is over rated at the moment. I wished Jessica had won. Or Sally. She’s just so young and her acting was okay not like super. I think a lot of attention will be set on her, she is going to be hunted by papz … I don’t think she will take it so well … I guess most people don’t like that especially if they are not used to it … grown up with it.

  • guest

I think that if you were chocked beyond your mind (and fell in front of everyone) you would also not be able to pull an eloquent (and a practiced) speech.

  • Toooten

How the he** did you came to that conclusion?!

She won best actress for “Silver Linings Playbook” , but to name her the best actress of her generation, is rather far fetched.

  • V

What language is it then? Cause it’s not English..

  • Toooten

I agree. I like Jennifer a lot, but I’m not blind for the power of money and influence. She’s Weinstein’s new pet, and that helps a lot in HW!

  • dannehlicious

I kind of wanted to see her accept the award too.

  • Val 5.

So happy for her! she was wonderful çn SLP, btw,SLP and The royal Affair are my favorite movie of the year. Congratulations Jen!

  • Val 5.

Maybe coz Jennifer just won an Oscar and their queen is just a shabby joke..

  • guest

That’s real and natural person right there and not some faker like Kristen Stewart.

i really don’t see the attraction; she’s just too contrived for me.

  • http://twitter.com/x2mandy2x Mandy

Congratulations to Jennifer Lawrence. She is beautiful, unaffected, talented, and incredibly witty. She may have fallen on her way up to accept her Oscar, but she handled it with dignity, class, and humor. I loved that she picked herself up and walked across the stage to accept an honor given out to only a selected few. I also loved her dress! All in all the girl looked amazing, and I’m very happy for her.

  • http://twitter.com/x2mandy2x Mandy

I highly disagree. This girl is a “real” person, unlike the majority of the people in Hollywood. She’s not only talented, but comes across as being very aware of herself and who she really is. I don’t think she’s going to be one of the people we see all over the tabloids engaging in one despicable act after another.

  • http://twitter.com/x2mandy2x Mandy

I think so too! If anything, falling down endeared her to me even more.

  • http://twitter.com/x2mandy2x Mandy

    Sour grapes?

  • http://twitter.com/x2mandy2x Mandy

I too wonder why. Oh well…

  • http://twitter.com/x2mandy2x Mandy

Do you also think that Kristen Stewart broke her leg, or whatever happened to her on purpose to generate “talk” for her?

  • http://twitter.com/x2mandy2x Mandy

I’m sorry to hear you dislike her, but I adore her! She is genuine and talented. I can’t wait to see how her future pans out.

  • http://twitter.com/x2mandy2x Mandy

    Me too girl!

  • http://twitter.com/x2mandy2x Mandy

I think she is the best actress of her generation as well.

  • guest

she’s 22yo and gotten 2 Oscar-nominations and one win. AND she is a great actress. It’s fairly easy to come to that conclusion. Tell me what other actress in her age that has accomplished so much in such a short time.

  • Woof

Yeah I saw her at the ABC cinference and she seemed rude and bitchy towards the reporters

  • C

And K-Stew is not bitchy to reporters? LOL

  • apsara

Jennifer won ! I cant believed she actually won an oscar !! Very happy for her ! She totally deserved it . Loved her dress , she looked regal and classy

  • C

remember that KagKa is a Krisbian, so no one is as perfect as K-Stew LOL

  • Guest

it’s okay Hun your talented and gorgeous! Love Jennifer!!!!! She is amazing!!!

  • cora

I don’t think she’s genuine. I like her and LOVE her movies but listening to the actress speak makes me like her less and less. I feel like she’s constantly trying to hard to be “normal.” Like “oh I’m hungry”, “I’m considered fat”, “everyone else is Hollywood skinny”, we get it, you’re normal. Why does she constantly need to try to prove she’s a human being? Everyone at that ceremony is just as human as she is, they just don’t constantly need attention brought to it. Everything she says is so contrived to sound “normal.”

Lol…..oh so welcome to the club!
I mean it, people would be literally like….” Martina, things like this are not happening anybody else just you. How?!?!”
So glad to know there ARE people like me too!!!
We should set up something like Jenni L. Club : born to be clumsy!!!
But is hard to be in that moment.
You literally closing your eyes and thinking….’ I am not here, I am not here…’
    Again…..never been at Oscars!

  • Martina

It is definitely not Spanish, I can guarantee you that.
In Slovakian, Slovenian, and Czech, Russian, Polish, Bulgarian, Croatian, language that mean ‘ I ‘ ( also ‘me’ in certain cases)
In German and Hungarian language that mean equivalent of English ‘yes’.
In Latvia ‘ ja’ mean ‘it’,
And in Estonia it mean ‘if’
    ..,… So there you go!
Listen, although it may upset you to read comments in other languages but it really should not.
America presented itself as a country or many nations, and even so…. Internet is global, and people will comment, English or no English!
Why would you feel the need to pick on one comment like that?!
Should not this be about this the article?strange…..

  • Martina

I love her dress, I love her jewellery, I love her make-up, I luve her looks and her outfit…..she is soooooo classy and beautiful !

  • Guest

so happy for her, what a lovely young lady

  • Setra

I loved the way Jennifer Lawrence handled this fall up the stairs on her way to receive the Oscar for Best Actress. I was at work at DISH when this was on so I recorded it on my DVR. I set up my DISH Hopper using the PrimeTime Anytime feature, to record all primetime shows that came on ABC on Sunday. This way I was able to record both the red carpet coverage and the award’s ceremony without setting up individual timers.

  • Nikki

Wow what awful questions those reported asked!! I loved her reaction to them and hopefully made them feel like the morons they are!
