Jennifer Lawrence ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ Reboot Casting Rumor NOT True
Jennifer Lawrence is NOT in talks to join the all-female Ocean’s Eleven reboot, despite an inaccurate report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this story. We’re told it’s “not true at all.”
It was announced last year that Sandra Bullock would be starring in a continuation of the George Clooney-led heist franchise for Hunger Games director Gary Ross. Bullock will reportedly play Danny Ocean’s sister, an ex-con who leads a group of women on a mission to steal a necklace from the Met Ball in order to frame an evil gallery owner.
According to The Tracking Board, Lawrence is currently in discussions to play Bullock’s right-hand woman, which would be somewhat similar to the role Brad Pitt played in the former trilogy. The news was picked up by various other websites as well, but Gossip Cop is exclusively told by a very reliable source close to Lawrence that the actress is not in talks to join the project, and the rumor is simply “not true at all.”
The actress has a very busy schedule, and the Ocean’s Eleven reboot simply isn’t on it. Instead, Lawrence is currently attached to star in an untiled Darren Aronofsky project, the Steven Spielberg war drama It’s What I Do, and a comedy which she co-wrote alongside Amy Schumer.
This wouldn’t be the first time Lawrence was at the center of a bogus casting announcement. Last month, Gossip Cop corrected the New York Post for falsely reporting the actress was starring in a movie based on the true story of American spy Betty Pack a.k.a. “Blonde Bond.”
