Jennifer Lawrence cheered on the University of Louisville Cardinals on Saturday, at the school’s big game against the University of Kentucky. Check out the video below!
The Oscar winner was decked out in Cards gear, wearing a Louisville hat and shirt. She watched the game at the KFC Yum! Center from athletic director Tom Jurich’s suite, where she was joined by her family. At one point Lawrence led the crowd in the signature C-A-R-D-S cheer, and received an ovation when made the Lousiville “L” symbol with her hand.
Lawrence also took the time to pose for photos with fans, many of whom shared pictures on social media. The university’s athletic spokesman told The Courier-Journal after the game, “It was a terrific atmosphere today, and to have her here in the stands and cheering on the Cards was very special.” Unfortunately, the Cardinals lost the game.
Lawrence returned to Louisville to celebrate the holidays with her family. As Gossip Cop reported, the actress visited the Kosair Children’s Hospital on Christmas Eve, where she spent time with patients. It’s always nice to see that a celebrity can reach Lawrence’s level of fame, but still remain connected to her hometown roots with normal interests. Lawrence was even seen chowing down on pizza during the Cards game. Stars, they’re just like us! Check out the video below!
