Jennifer Lawrence Ended Amy Schumer Friendship?
During an interview last month for Lena Dunham’s online newsletter, Lenny Letter, Schumer revealed Lawrence had jokingly texted her, “It’s your fault,” after two women were shot and killed during a screening of Trainwreck in Lafayette, Louisiana in 2015. The National Enquirer is now falsely claiming Lawrence is livid with Schumer for divulging her private joke, which could be deemed insensitive.
A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “This has put the nail in the coffin on that friendship.” But Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for Schumer, who exclusively assures us Lawrence isn’t at all upset about the comedienne talking about the text, and the two are still close friends. We’re further told any claims of a feud between the actresses are simply “false.”
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the Enquirer has concocted a fake story about the women’s friendship. Gossip Cop previously called out the tabloid for falsely claiming Lawrence’s friends think Schumer is a bad influence on the actress. That story was completely inaccurate, and the same goes for the magazine’s latest tall tale involving the famous gal pals.
