wow !!! looks good cant wait for the movie !

I was waiting for the introduction of Katniss after they announced Jennifer Lawrence for the role. Surprisingly, seeing this photo didn’t stir any excitement in me. And with the recent announcement of Universal Studios, I find myself anticipating “Snow White and the Huntsman” more than this movie.

I think she doesn’t look as bad as I first thought she would. I still think the real problem will be Peeta and Gale, no make up or hair dye will compensate that!

Jodelle Ferland would’ve been better in my opinion. She dressed as Katniss for Halloween last year and posted pics on Twitter, and she looked fantastic. I’m still anticipating the movie of course, just not Lawrence.

She looks okay but I still really wish that they had picked Saoirse Ronan for the part. She’s fresh from Hanna and did City of Ember a while back-which had a bit of the atmosphere of the Hunger Games. She would have been perfect. In fact, she’s the only reason why I read the books. I heard she had a chance. Anyway, I do hope they make the movie well. The choices for Peeta and Gale could have been better thought of.

I’m trying with everything in me to like this girl..even though she actually looks more the part now and she can probably pull the acting off ..if you dislike someone you dont want to watch their movie..which really tics me off because I really want to see it but not sure if I can get her holier than though attitude out of my head long enough to get through it..the only saving grace so far..Woody Harrellson being cast as Haymitch…so we shall see…now SWATH I will be there with BELLS on..stick that in your little pipe and smoke it JL and learn when to be gracious and keep your mouth shut about other actresses who havent so much as said one teeny tiny insulting word concerning you..yea.

The photo in my opinion looks very “enhanced”…Jennifer Lawrence isn’t that skinny! Although she better get that way before the movie! I’ve only ever seen Jen Lawrence in Winters Bone, which I hated…but that’s neither here nor there! I’m just very nervous about how she’ll pull off Katniss. Even more than that, I’m a wreck over Josh Hutcherson as Peeta. I had a mental picture of him as i read the book and honestly, the first time I ever saw Chord Overstreet (Sam on Glee) I was like OMG, that’s Peeta Melalrk! But either way, all the hair dye in the world isn’t goin to make Josh H. cute in my eyes! I didn’t think he was a cute little kid in the movies i’ve seen him in, and he’s not going to do my sweet, sweet, boy with the bread any justice!!!!!

Agree! JL kill THG for me!! Love the books but I still can’t wrap my head around her being Katniss I thought seeing her as Katniss would but still I don’t like her. She is too tan in the EW!

I remember the last time people doubted casting for a role almost unanimously, Heath Ledger for The Joker. We all know how amazing that turned out.

she’s supposed to have olive skin, Lawrence is usually really pale.

I’ve never seen Jen in any movie because i’m just wierd that way, but I really hope she can pull Katniss of. She looks enough of the part, it’s just the huge emotional things Katniss goes through. As for Liam and Josh as Gale and Peeta, I don’t know. I didn’t see Liam in the Last Song (he was in that right?) and I only saw Josh in Bridge to Terabithia (i spelled that wrong). I saw Josh with his hair dyed, and I have to say, he looks exactly how I imagined Peeta. Liam looks really good to. Not exactly how i pictured him, but the three of them look close enough to make a great movie!
