Jennifer Lawrence Visits Children’s Hospital On Christmas Eve (PHOTOS)
Jennifer Lawrence visited Kosair Children’s Hospital in Kentucky on Wednesday, the second year in a row she’s taken time out of her personal Christmas festivities to bring joy to ill children at the Louisville medical center. Check out the photos below!
As Gossip Cop reported, the Oscar winner surprised kids with a visit last year on December 22. This time around, Lawrence stopped by on Christmas Eve, taking pictures with patients and nurses alike. The star is a Louisville native, and usually returns every year for the holidays. Prior to her massive fame, Lawrence helped out at her parents’ summer camp, where she served as an assistant nurse to the children. It seems everything is now coming full circle.
And 2014 has been yet another big year for the actress. In January she won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress, as well as a Screen Actors Guild award for being part of the American Hustle ensemble. That’s in addition to trophies from the Critics’ Choice Movies Awards, American Comedy Awards, MTV Movie Awards, Kids’ Choice Awards, and Teen Choice Awards, with some of those honors being for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
Lawrence had a worldwide press tour this fall for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which, despite only being released in November, is the second highest-grossing film of the year. Lawrence was also on the big screen in X-Men: Days of Future Past, and she scored her first music hit when “The Hanging Tree,” from Mockingjay, debuted at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. Lawrence also stood up for herself, and women everywhere, when stolen personal nude photos were hacked and leaked online.
All in all, it’s been a good year for Lawrence, and she tried to make it at least a good Christmas for some kids in need. Lawrence doesn’t use social media, so don’t expect to her showing off her selfless deed on social media. Instead, check out the pictures below!
