Hudson was on “GMA” to discuss her upcoming Netflix original film, but the conversation soon turned to her on and off-screen chemistry with Sandler. “It was the absolute best. I’ve never heard anyone say ‘J-Hud’ more in my life than Adam. It was the most fun I’ve ever had on any project,” said the actress-singer.
She also talked what it was like working with Sandler, who also directed the picture. “I got to learn so much from him. He was not only an actor, but a director,” the actress shared. “One minute we’re in character, then it’s like, ‘Is he in character right now or is he the director?’ I always had to be on my toes. He had a whole writing crew to work with. I had five directors at one time, giving me 10 different notes.”
Hudson also shared why she feels she and Sandler have such a special relationship. “We’re both Virgos. Adam’s birthday is September 8th, and mine is the 12th,” she said. “We have the same kind of energy. I feel like I was watching myself outside of myself.” Watch the full “GMA” interview below!
