Jennifer Aniston NOT Giving Selena Gomez Advice On The Weeknd, Despite Report
The serial fabricators at HollywoodLife announce in a headline on Tuesday, “Jennifer Aniston Encouraging Selena Gomez To ‘Follow Her Heart’ In The Weeknd Romance.” It’s alleged that Gomez not only “has a big time supporter when it comes to her new romance with The Weeknd,” but that Aniston actually “reached out to the singer to follow her heart and forget about the haters.” Seriously?
“Jennifer has been one of Selena’s biggest supporters. She’s been encouraging Selena to follow her heart and ignore the haters,” a so-called “source” is quoted as saying. According to the fabrication factory’s supposed snitch, “Jennifer thinks if anyone deserves to be happy, it’s Selena. She knows Selena wouldn’t hurt a fly and doesn’t think she shouldn’t hide her relationship with The Weeknd because of negative backlash.”
But HollywoodLies seemingly crafted this story because Gomez said in a 2015 interview that Aniston gave her “maternal advice” when they hung out once. Obviously, the dubious outlet wants readers to believe that’s exactly what’s going on now. That’s why it asserts Aniston is “coming to the rescue with love advice” as public interest surrounds Gomez’s relationship with The Weeknd.
Gossip Cop, however, has already established that the widely discredited outlet has been making up stories about Gomez and The Weeknd. In fact, even after purporting to have a number of “exclusives” about the supposedly serious romance, the webloid suddenly acted like it never published those tales, and questioned “if a romance is blossoming here” and whether there’s a “possible new relationship.” The site even admitted, “[We] still don’t know the exact nature of Sel’s relationship with the ‘Starboy’ singer.”
But now the bad blog is back to pretending it knows all about it, and is dragging Aniston into its concocted storyline, too. Of course, HollywoodLies has a rich history of telling tall tales about the actress, as well. Back in September, the online publication had one of its seemingly imaginary “insiders” give Aniston’s supposed reaction to the Brad Pitt child abuse allegations.
What’s more is that this isn’t even the first time the notoriously disreputable webloid has pulled such a stunt with these two female celebs. More than a year ago, Gossip Cop called out the site for making up a story about Aniston giving her “blessing” to a Gomez – Justin Bieber reunion. Now here we are with The Weeknd, and the blog is still peddling creative fiction as journalism. This is precisely why Gomez herself has called HollywoodLies “the worst.”
