Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow No Longer Friends?
A headline in the new edition of the National Enquirer announces, “Aniston And Kudrow Anything But Friends!” It’s said, “Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow may both live in New York now, but they definitely aren’t singing ‘I’ll be there for you’ these days! The former co-stars haven’t even bothered to pick up the phone to say hi.”
“Lisa and her husband, Michel Stern, along with their son, Julian, left L.A. and moved to New York earlier this year because of work opportunities,” a so-called “insider” is quoted as saying in rather unnatural language. Typically, there’d be no need to say the full name of Kudrow’s husband in conversation like that. Anyway, the supposed source goes on to say that, “Despite being just around the corner from each other, Jen and Lisa haven’t even spoken once.”
Why the cold shoulders? “There wasn’t a huge falling out — Jen and Lisa just don’t ‘get’ one another,” alleges the outlet’s snitch, who says the two actresses “never really had much in common beyond that hit TV show that made them both famous, and have made no move to nourish a friendship now.”
In fact, the alleged tipster even contends Kudrow was only invited to Aniston’s wedding last year “as a favor to Courteney Cox.” The publication’s “insider” asserts, “The fact that they are both close pals with Courteney hasn’t brought them any closer together. Jen was always the favored friend, and Lisa was always the odd one out. Whenever they get together with Courteney… it’s because they adore Courteney, who loves everybody.”
Yet it was almost exactly a year ago that this same supermarket tabloid claimed Aniston and Cox had a falling out, with Cox supposedly blaming Aniston for her split from Johnny McDaid. Months before that, the magazine said Aniston was in a feud with Matthew Perry.
And, earlier this year, the National Enquirer alleged Aniston was snubbed by her “Friends” co-stars at the tribute taping for director James Burrows. Sensing a pattern here? It seems every few months, the outlet decides to make it seem like the star has issues with her famous colleagues. But as a rep exclusively tells Gossip Cop, it’s all “nonsense.” Aniston and Kudrow remain friends, on- and off-screen.
