Jennifer Aniston And Courteney Cox No Longer Friends?
According to Life & Style, the supposed trouble began after Cox split up with rocker fiance Johnny McDaid in early December, and Aniston allegedly sided with McDaid instead of her close friend. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “Jen said some really insensitive things. She told Court she was being ‘difficult’ with Johnny, who had wanted to work things out. It really ticked Courteney off.”
The magazine’s “source” then goes on to claim that Aniston purposely didn’t invite Cox on a holiday vacation with some of their mutual celebrity friends, including Lake Bell and Jason Bateman. “Courteney feels incredibly betrayed by Jen,” the tabloid’s dubious insider says. “She’s really hurt that her best friend has hasn’t been there for her.”
The first sign that the story is a fake is the alleged “source” can’t decide in the phony quotes whether to refer to Cox as “Courteney” our “Court.” Real people generally refer to their friends by the same name every time. In any event, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, and we’re exclusively told the tabloid’s entire account is “nonsense.” There is absolutely no tension between Aniston and Cox, and the magazine is simply trying to create a nonexistent feud.
Life & Style is the same outlet Gossip Cop corrected last month for two bogus cover stories, one which wrongly claimed Aniston and Justin Theroux were getting a divorce, and another one that falsely alleged the actress was having a baby via surrogate. The magazine’s latest claim about her and Cox being on the outs is equally false.
