Jennifer Aniston showed off her massive engagement ring while out with fiancé Justin Theroux in Sante Fe over the weekend.

The actress has been shooting We’re The Millers in New Mexico.

She and Theroux became engaged in August.

Despite tabloid reports, no wedding date or location has been officially set.

    Why do celebs race for the prize for the biggest and the ugliest, and the most vulgar ring ? Neither this one nor Angelina’s are elegant, classy or subtle. They are all hideous though. All that glitters is not gold it seems. Nothing but a show off, and big rings usually mean bitter and quick divorces.

    If she likes it, I guess it is OK, but it is not attractive at all. It looks like an unfinished or unpolished stone without any nice shape. It is also too large for her hand. But, whatever, not my ring, so I don’t have to like it, which I don’t.

    I think she sacrificed quality for size. She picked the biggest thing she could get, no matter how cheap it looks. It looks like a cheap piece of plastic. I’ve seen CZs that look more authentic than that stone.

    We tend to forget about the hands … the face is most taken care of .. but hands are hard to care for ? or surgery won’t change it? … I find as one aged .. the hands gets so ugly … sad …

    Just to put some facts on this rant. Angelina’s ring has a center stone that is emerald cut. Emerald cut gems/diamonds have the least amount of faucets, that means the stone isn’t crazy sparkly. Her diamond had to be beyond exceptional because the less sparkle means you can see directly at it. Please don’t hate cause all we can afford is half a carat solitaire. Angie’s ring is really well thought of.

    I am no fan of Aniston’s, but I always thought she had very good taste-she married Brad Pitt after all. This ring is a disappointment. It is too big for her delicate hands and, as somebody else mentioned, it does not look real. It does not sparkle, it is cloudy, the color is off and in general not a beautiful piece of jewelry. Pity, because it probably cost an amount that most of us would never have to simply spend for unnecessary items. We all try to get other things first, as in a nice house, send our children to college and such. I hope it brings happiness and luck.
