Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz, and Sandra Bullock Teaming Up for “Mother of All Chick Comedies”?
“Step Aside, Bridesmaids! Cameron Diaz, Sandra Bullock & Jennifer Aniston Want To Do ‘The Mother Of All Chick Comedies’ Together,” declares RadarOnline. According to the webloid, the “actresses are hunting for a funny script that would give them all meaty roles.”
“It’s amazing that this is even being considered by this group — and shows that they’re putting aside old rivalries to find ways of staying relevant in recession-racked Hollywood,” an “insider” tells RadarOnline in completely unnatural language. The site’s supposed source continues, “Although there isn’t a script or concept in play just yet, the film could do for girl comedies what The Avengers did for superhero movies.”
“The success of The Heat and the movie Bridesmaids has shown that female buddy comedies are the hottest thing going,” says the outlet’s “insider,” adding, “and Cameron, Sandra and Jen would love to work together and rake in box office gold.” The RadarOnline tipster adds, “But Sandra is the one who is friends with both Cameron and Jennifer, and would likely get top billing in the project.”
Well, that’s news to Bullock… and Aniston… and Diaz. The stars are NOT working on a movie project together. A rep for Bullock tells Gossip Cop that RadarOnline’s story is “not true,” and notes that the women have never had any sort of rivalry. It’s also worth pointing out that Diaz and Aniston have already worked together, in 1996’s She’s The One.
