It’s Official: Jena Malone Cast as Johanna Mason in Catching Fire

Jena Malone has officially been cast as Johanna Mason in Catching Fire, the second installment of The Hunger Games franchise.

The Sucker Punch actress will play the outspoken tribute from District 7 who’s thrown into the Hunger Games “Quarter Quell” along with Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence).

Mason does everything in her power to unnerve Katniss before the Games — even stripping naked upon first meeting her competitor.

Previous additions to Catching Fire include Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair, Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee and Amanda Plummer as Wiress.

Catching Fire is slated to be released on November 22, 2013.
