Jeff Bridges, Kristen Bell, Benedict Cumberbatch Read “Mean Tweets” On ‘Jimmy Kimmel’ (VIDEO)
Jimmy Kimmel put a twist on his recurring segment, “Mean Tweets,” by actually having celebrities come into his studio on Monday’s show and read out loud to his live audience the nasty remarks written about them on Twitter. For the first installment, Kimmel had Jeff Bridges, Kristen Bell and Benedict Cumberbatch. Watch the video below.
Kimmel introduced the segment by saying, “Twitter has made it easy for famous people to interact directly with their fans, which is nice, but it also makes it easy for people to tell you how much they hate you.” After saying that, the late-night talk show host brought out Bridges. The actor read off his phone a tweet from someone named @Raven that read, “Am now convinced Jeff Bridges is a crazy f*cker and not in the cool way, just in a disturbed hobo shouting at sparrows and sidewalks way.” Bridges responded, “That’s a very interesting critique. I will take it to heart.”
Next up was Bell, who read @CUZNGEORGE’s tweet, “Kristen Bell seems like such a bitch, her vagina is probably an Alcatraz for penis.” The actress had no response for that. And then Cumberbatch read a tweet from his phone from @zaneey. It said, “If you find Benedict Cumberbatch attractive, I’m guessing you’d also quite enjoy staring directly at a cats anus.” The actor laughed for a bit, and then cracked, “Well, someone did, and she put a ring on it,” as he gave a (ring) finger to the camera.
