Jay-Z To Welcome Brooklyn Nets To New Arena With Series of Concerts

Jay-Z will welcome the NBA’s Nets to Brooklyn in a big way.
The rapper, a partial owner of the team, will perform a string of concerts at the Barclays Center when it opens as the basketball squad’s new home in 2012, he announced on Monday.
Local reports put the number of Jay-Z shows at eight, although that has not been confirmed.
The basketball team will be renamed the Brooklyn Nets when they move to the borough from New Jersey next year.
Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce will have welcomed their first baby by then.
