Despite Bardem’s enthusiasm, the Oscar winner will end up not doing “Glee” next season, according to a 20th Century Television spokesman.

Oscar winner Javier Bardem is reportedly expected to appear on the upcoming season of “Glee,” according to EW.com.

The site says the hunky Spaniard will play a rock star who becomes friends with Artie, played by Kevin McHale.

Series creator Ryan Murphy directs Bardem in this summer’s Eat Pray Love.

“We’re going to rock the house,” the actor is quoted as saying. “We’re going to do some heavy metal — Spanish heavy metal, which is the worst.”

Bardem nabbed an Academy Award for his portrayal of a sociopath in No Country for Old Men, so high school should make for an easy transition.
