Jason Aldean Defends Relationship With Brittany Kerr: “I’m Happier” And “Wouldn’t Change A Thing”
Jason Aldean is defending his relationship with his mistress/now girlfriend Brittany Kerr, hitting back online at detractors and noting, “I wouldn’t change a thing,” and “I’m happier than I’ve ever been.”
On Sunday, after posting a photo on Instagram of himself and Kerr holding their dog (see right), along with the note, “A little surprise for my girl @brittanylkerr” and the hashtag “#loveubaby,” the country singer received an avalanche of criticism.
As you recall, Gossip Cop reported back in October 2012 that Aldean was caught in photos kissing the former “American Idol” contestant in a bar while still married to his wife of 11 years, Jessica Ussery.
At the time, he wrote in a Facebook post, “The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that’s the end of the story.”
But it wasn’t the end of the story, despite Kerr also apologizing for her “lapse in judgment.”
A year and a half later, the two were spotted together again — and now Aldean, who filed for divorce in 2013, is no longer sorry about how their relationship began.
In a second Instagram post on Sunday, he uploaded an image that read (see below), “You know my name, not my story. You’ve heard what I’ve done, not what I’ve been through.”
Aldean added in a caption next to it, “So sick of people judging me and @brittanylkerr over things they know nothing about. I have made mistakes but i am a better person because of it, and wouldnt change a thing. Im happier than i have ever been, so thank u to all the people who support us. We are happy and life goes on. Its time to move on people. #aldeanarmy #oldnews #timetomoveon.”
