Janel Parrish & Val Chmerkovskiy Kiss On Dancing With The Stars – WATCH VIDEO!
Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy shared a long kiss at the end of their jaw-dropping quickstep on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars.” For the show’s first-ever “America’s Choice” night, fans used social media to choose the pair’s dance, song and other key details in their routine, including their passionate kiss.
Last week, the couple earned a perfect score for their flawless Romeo and Juliet-inspired routine. “Getting a perfect score feels good for a second,” Chmerkovskiy noted, “but then it puts a lot of pressure on you to maintain that level.” Parrish found herself crying during rehearsals because of the pressure. “This week America chose the quickstep for us, which is kind of scary because it is all in holds and I am not that great at that,” she explained. But there was no need to worry. The “Pretty Little Liars” star and her partner wowed the judges for the second week in a row.
Chmerkovskiy immediately apologized after their performance because his patent leather shoes got stuck together. “I messed up,” he told the judges. But Parrish didn’t mind. “You are still really cute. It was still a blast, and I still got kissed so it was all good,” she told her partner.
Julianne Hough didn’t mind the error either. “All I am going to say is I don’t care because that is what a quickstep is,” she told the pair. “To me, that was the best dance of the night so far.” Bruno Tonioli agreed, noting, “Apart from that little mishap, it was a dance of such high quality.” He told Chmerkovskiy, “You put so much detail into the choreography.” Carrie Ann Inaba also called it “the best performance of the night,” while Len Goodman praised Parrish. “There are three things in quickstep: hold, posture, movement,” he said. “You had them all sweetheart.” Parrish and Chmerkovskiy earned an impressive score of 38 out of 40. After they got their scores, co-host Erin Andrews joked that she would have given their kiss a 15. Check out the video below, and tell us what you think! Note: Video no longer available.
