WATCH: Jamie Foxx Mocks Bruce Jenner, Suge Knight During iHeartRadio Music Awards Opening Monologue (VIDEO)
Jamie Foxx mocked Bruce Jenner, Suge Knight and the “Blurred Lines” copyright controversy during his opening monologue at Sunday’s iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles. Watch his jokes in the video below!
Referring to the recent legal battle between Gaye’s family and the “Blurred Lines” performers a court decided had ripped him off, Foxx joked, “Marvin Gaye had an incredible year this year. Marvin Gaye had the number one song, featuring Pharrell and Robin Thicke… Marvin Gaye made $7.4 million just last week! He’s making beats in heaven, it’s crazy!”
As for Knight, who recently collapsed in court during his own legal travails, Foxx observed the hip-hop mogul “got shot in L.A., walked away. Got shot in Miami, walked away. Bail money? He passed the hell out… I ain’t seen Suge duck down like that since he was in the car with Tupac.”
As for the reality TV star whose reported gender transition has made headlines, Foxx said, “Bruce Jenner will be here, doing some musical performances. He’s doing a ‘his’ and ‘her’ duet all by himself… Look, I’m just busting your balls. While I still can.” Foxx also went on a long tangent about the O.T. Genasis track “CoCo,” which his young daughter mistakenly believes is about hot chocolate. Did Foxx go too far, or were his jokes funny?
