Jamie Dornan Says Wife Has No Problem With Fifty Shades Of Grey, Defends Dakota Johnson Chemistry
As Gossip Cop reported, it was wrongly claimed last month that Dornan’s marriage to Amelia Warner was in “trouble” in the wake of the erotic film’s success, and then falsely alleged he was quitting was the franchise due to Warner’s discomfort with the material. Gossip Cop exclusively corrected both stories at the time, with Dornan’s rep telling Gossip Cop exclusively that the claims were “utter rubbish” and “conjecture.”
Now Dornan himself is confirming that, too. “Total b*****ks!” he told the Daily Mail when asked about Warner allegedly wanting him to drop out of the sequel. Dornan went on, “Of course she would have read the scripts well in advance, and she’s massively supportive of Fifty Shades.”
There were also rumors that claimed Dornan could be fired due to supposedly lackluster chemistry with Johnson and a mutual dislike between them. But hearing that from the Daily Mail reportedly made the actor laugh out loud. “They wouldn’t have shot the film with us if there was a chemistry problem… whatever chemistry means,” he said. “You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get a part like this, and they simply wouldn’t have cast us.”
While not officially greenlit yet, Dornan said he expects the second film, Fifty Shades Darker, will start shooting next spring. “The idea was that we honor the trilogy and do all three,” he noted of the book-to-film adaptations. What do you think of Dornan’s comments?
