James Hinchcliffe ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Premiere Routine Called “Terrific” (VIDEO)
James Hinchcliffe and partner Sharna Burgess did a “terrific” foxtrot to Zayde Wolf’s “Live Life” on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars” premiere. Their routine impressed the judges and audience alike. Watch the video below.
Len Goodman said ordinarily he wouldn’t have expected much from a race car driver, but told Hinchcliffe “that was knock out… That was terrific!” Julianne Hough called his performance “calm, graceful, smooth.” She added that she “didn’t know what to expect,” but now felt “we need to keep an eye out on you.” Meanwhile, Bruno Tonioli was blown away by Hinchcliffe’s “ease of movement. ” He further expressed that while Hinchcliffe’s routine was very good for ballroom, “I can’t wait to see Latin.” And Carrie Ann Inaba said, “I’m looking forward to next week.”
For his first performance, James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess received three 8s and one 7 for a total of 31 out of 40 points. Check out the video below of Hinchcliffe and Burgess foxtrot to Zayde Wolf’s “Live Life” on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars.”
It should be noted that it’s not unprecedented for a race car driver to win “Dancing With The Stars.” Helio Castroneves won the dance competition show during Season Five. His dance partner at the time was current judge Julianne Hough.
