WATCH: James Franco And Zachary Quinto Kiss In New York Times Sundance Video
In the clip, stars including Saoirse Ronan, Slash, Adam Scott and more, are seen in the paper’s “Slow-Mo Video Booth” doing silly things like throwing confetti, blowing bubbles, and headbanging. Only Franco and Quinto opted for a smooch, sharing a kiss underneath a shower of popcorn. (See photo right.)
The pair was at the festival to promote their new movie, I Am Michael, in which they kiss a lot. They also portray a threesome with fellow actor Charlie Carver, who also appears briefly in the New York Times video. Photos of the film’s steamy sex scene caused a stir online earlier this month, but this is the first in-motion teaser of what a Franco-Quinto hookup could look like. In the film, which is based on a New York Times’ magazine article, Franco plays Michael Glatze, a former real-life gay activist who went on to renounce his homosexuality before becoming an anti-gay Christian fundamentalist.
The New York Times previously sparked buzz with a different set of kissing videos. As Gossip Cop reported in December, the outlet released its “9 Kisses” series, which featured nine pairings of the year’s best performers in different kissing scenes. Kristen Stewart, Reese Witherspoon, and Benedict Cumberbatch were among those who participated. Check out the new video below!
