James Franco Does Whatever People Say For #MakeJamesDo Google Hangout (VIDEO)
James Franco let the Internet order him around on Saturday, and things got very weird. The actor did a Google Hangout with Paper called #MakeJamesDo. Franco sat in a room featuring a number of props, and people joined the Hangout and told him what to do. It was part social experiment, part publicity stunt, and entirely goofy.
The actor explained, “I’m at your mercy. You can tell me to do whatever you want. This is your chance to make me do whatever you want.” Franco wound up wearing bunny ears, rubbing peanut butter in his mustache, petting a kitten while speaking in a soft voice, singing “Happy Birthday” while twerking, walking on his hands, doing a Lana Del Rey impression, wearing overalls while serenading a puppy with “Rolling in the Deep,” and performing dozens of other silly stunts at the public’s request.
It was somehow part of the same Paper #BreakTheInternet project that included Kim Kardashian posing completely naked for the magazine in photos that may not have actually broken the Internet, but certainly dominated headlines for days. What was it like to watch Franco do whatever random strangers wanted? Check out the video below, and tell us what you think.
