WATCH: James Corden and Anna Kendrick Have Pitch Perfect Riff-Off On Late Late Show
James Corden and Anna Kendrick had a Pitch Perfect riff-off battle on Friday’s “Late Late Show.” While the talk show host was giving his introduction, Kendrick interrupted saying, “I’ve heard you’ve been telling people that you’re the best a Capella singer in town.” Corden jokingly responds, “Yeah, because I am.”
The Pitch Perfect 2 actress then challenges Corden to a sing-off. “Anna, are you suggesting we have a live Pitch Perfect style riff-off right here?” says Corden, adding, “You’re gonna regret this because you’ve woken the beast.”
With that, the boy band Filharmonic comes out from backstage to play instruments during Corden and Kendrick’s performances. In the first round, the theme is “See Ya Later Songs” and Corden kicks things off with a rendition of ‘N Sync’s “Bye Bye Bye.” Kendrick hilariously sings “Move, B*tch” by Ludacris, and ends up winning the first round. For round two, the theme is “Songs That Will Kill You,” and Corden picks “Poison” by Bell Biv DeVoe. Kendrick chooses the song “Love Is A Battlefield” by Pat Benatar, and ultimately ties for first with Corden. In the third round, the pair decided to perform the songs “Ice Ice Baby,” by Vanilla Ice and “Walking On Sunshine” by Katrina and The Waves together.
