Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift in Dangerous Paparazzi Chase

The paparazzi caused a potentially dangerous situation yesterday, all in the pursuit of photographing  Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift together.

The couple was being followed while driving through a residential neighborhood in Beverly Hills.

“This was scary,” says a source close to Gyllenhaal, who was forced to call the cops.

X17Online claims “Jake was TOTALLY overreacting,” and only notified the police because “he didn’t want anyone to get a shot of him and Taylor together,” but Gossip Cop is told it was a far more serious situation.

“This was not about a celebrity saying, ‘Don’t follow me,’” says our insider, adding that Gyllenhaal and Swift “felt they were in jeopardy.”

But it wasn’t just Swift’s safety and his own that Gyllenhaal was concerned about. “There were people on the sidewalk, families” in the neighborhood, we’re told, who could have potentially been injured.

“It was really dangerous,” reiterates our source, who says the police stopped six paparazzi cars that were right on Gyllenhaal’s car.

Unfortunately, after Gyllenhaal drove on, there were four more paparazzi cars – out of the police’s view – who still followed the couple.

    Those “creepy monsters” are just plain awful. They shouldn’t be following anybody. They need more laws with those crazy people. Jake did the right thing. He has a right anyway in not wanting to be photographed. Somebody needs to take the camera and turn it back on those “ghastly” looking “aliens”, so that they can see how it feels.     Jake Gyllenhaal is a gay jerk who was happy to use paparazzi to promote his showmance with Reese Witherspoon and pose with new beard Taylor Swift for Us Weekly, but don’t want paparazzi arounf him when he’s not in the mood. What a moron!

    X17 is known to hire some very shady people to get shots. People with extensive criminal records as well as people from other countries who are shooting for their meals. Radar magazine had a very interesting article about it a fe years back.

    It’s not hard to think they disobey traffic laws in order to get such pics, and put a lot more people in danger than just the Celebs they want shots of . Remember princess Diana.

    When is that new anti paparazzi law in CA going to go into effect? When someone dies? These paps make me sick. The best way to stop them is for fans to stop buying tabloid rags that buy and use these pics. Until then it will continue.

    Jake and Taylor planned this. They have to constantly find a way to stay in the news, because otherwise no one would give a crap about their silly relationship.

    His career is going downhill and she’s only famous for playing the “victim” in her relationships.

    Firstly, he only ‘gay’ thing about Jake Gyllenhaal (not that there is anything wrong with being gay) is the fact that he PRETENDED to be a gay person in his MOVIE. Seriously. He did it because there was a very deep meaning to the movie and he has had girlfriends… NOT beards! It annoys me to the core when people call him gay, not because there is a problem with that, but because it shows how utterly ignorant you people are. You call him gay because you have heard of Brokeback Mountain. What else? Oh right, nothing.

    Secondly, it is just fucking stupid to think it’s alright to be stalked by like 5 paps in cars.

    They are both content with themselves. If Jake wanted the publicity, then HOW COME he didn’t want to get pictures of him and Taylor Swift on their private dates?
