Jake Gyllenhaal Bought Taylor Swift a $100,000 Bracelet?

In yet another instance of dumb and dumber, HollywoodLife picks up a story from In Touch that claims Jake Gyllenhaal bought new lady love Taylor Swift a $100,000 diamond bracelet.

“It’s an Oscar-worthy bracelet — nearly 30 carats of colorless diamonds set in white gold,” HollywoodLife quotes an In Touch “source” as saying. “It cost Jake about $100,000, but he wanted to do something special for Taylor’s birthday.”

Not only that, but HollywoodLife even posted a picture of “a similar” looking bracelet.

Wait, there’s more…

According to their so-called “source,” who knows as much about celebrities as our insurance selling neighbor, Gyllenhaal and Swift “love coffee, so he sent her 21 pounds of the best Kona coffee available, along with a coffee grinder and a coffeemaker… And he made her a birthday card, as opposed to buying a generic one!”

Here’s what HollywoodLife and In Touch got right: NOTHING.

Gyllenhaal did NOT buy Swift a $100,000 diamond bracelet – or 21 pounds of coffee.

A rep for Gyllenhaal tells Gossip Cop: “All aspects of this are false.”

Additionally, as we noted last week, stories about Gyllenhaal buying Swift a $10,000 guitar are also not true.

For the record, the actor doesn’t throw money around like that, but he does support such charities dear to him as “New Eyes for the Needy” and “The Chez Panisse Foundation.”

P.S. Even our insurance selling neighbor correctly guessed this was all bogus.

    there are 50 other sites that claim he did buy all of this ..yet this one is the only one saying know i find that a little suspect.. so what if he dropped 110 000 on her ..he has millions of dollars so thats like a few hundred bucks to him. I did read that this is why resse left him though because he is too affectionate and was always buyin her shit and it started to creep her out.

    Taylor and Jake are not boyfriend and girlfriend! Besides, He didn’t spend big bucks on his once real girlfriends Reese or Kirsten, now did he?
    I’m a Taylor fan but I don’t think she would be worth a ton a cash. He could get any girl for FREE!
    I think the pictures of Jake and Taylor together are set-up for publicity. I never believed they were dating.
    Just like Gwyneth Paltrow said, they met a long time ago so that means they are JUST FRIENDS who are loving the spotlight of these rumors.

    I would never believe a tabloid like In Touch and those 2-bit blogger sites that only tell lies to make hits. Besides, whatever he buys her is his business. How would they know what he bought her unless he or she disclosed it? I doubt they would, anytime you continuously run from the paps.

    Wes, these bs stories spread quickly and all the other sites simply repeat the same rumor, it’s not like they all have the same scoop. If GC looks into it, and says it’s not true, I tend to believe them because they don’t just repeat rumors, they seriously look into stories to get the truth. They’re awesome. It’s not like I’ve stopped reading other blogs, it’s just when it’s a he said/she said – based on GC’s awesome record and the fact it’s run by people who’ve been longtime Hollywood reporters – I believe them. Just my two cents. Obviously, Alar is also new to GC. These people are SERIOUSLY connected. One of them dated Renee Zellwegger and some other actresses (found it on Google).

    Yeah, I tend to believe GC also. At least they give a thorough investigation before reporting their findings. GC does once and awhile have a slip-up… then who doesn’t when dealing with people’s personal business.

    Thank God for Gossip Cop! This is the only website that always gets it right…..and if they should make a slip, they acknowledge it and apologize. The other tabloids and websites are not only always wrong, but really quite ludicrous. I find it so sad that so many readers think all that other crap could be true. Gossip Cop checks its sources, and prints nothing but the truth. If you don’t believe this website, you shouldn’t bother reading it.

    lol They NEVER came out and admitted to anything. Taylor admitted in her recent Seventeen magazine interview that she DIDN’T have a boyfriend. Why do you think everytime somebody asks their reps a question, it’s always NO COMMENT?? It’s Because they are just friends. If you were really dating Taylor or Jake, wouldn’t you be so eager to admit it? They will not admit anything. This relationship is staged for publicity.

    sure i could care less if they are dating or not or if he bought her all this or not. Im just sayin this is like the only site to say they arent dating …fuck even wikipedia says they r a couple (now i know Wikipedia isnt reliable). So your telling me this is just a huge publicity stunt for her maggie and jake. And they wont just come out 100% and say they are legit dating because it just brings on so much more media and questions! Just now i did a bit of reasearch and gossip cop is the only site that denies everything about this pair which makes me a little skeptical about its sources. He may not have got her the gifts but i would say its safe to say they are dating if not seeing eachother.
