Jada Pinkett Smith’s Show “HawthoRNe” Canceled

It’s been a rough period for Jada Pinkett Smith.

A week after having to battle false rumors that she and Will Smith had separated, the actress’ show “HawthoRNe” has been canceled after three seasons.

TNT released a statement saying, “TNT has decided not to order a fourth season of HawthoRNe. TNT truly appreciates the tremendous dedication of everyone involved in HawthoRNe. The series gave TNT the opportunity to work with many outstanding people, including Jada Pinkett Smith and the rest of the show’s talented cast, crew, producers and writers. We wish everyone involved with HawthoRNe nothing but the best.”

Gossip Cop last week debunked the inaccurate report that Pinkett and Smith were separating because of an alleged affair with the actress’ “HawthoRNe” co-star Marc Anthony.

    It was a show that could have been good. Unfortunately the cast was filled with bad, overly dramatic actors/actresses and there wasn’t really one likable character in the whole show.

    I thought it was over acted. The story pace was too slow. I believe Jada is capable of better acting than this program displayed her. Not a Marc Anthony fan. Was unhappy to see that stirrings evolve. Good luck, Jada!

    i loved the show..i hate to see it go, every time they make a good black show it gets cancelled, i’m so shocked and surprised, tnt owes more than this to the fans

    I really liked the show until this recent season. I understand that they wanted to go in a more dramatic direction, but unfortunately, I personally, didn’t like what they did. This show really had true potential. Does anyone else wonder why Saving Grace really ended? I think it was because the actors wanted more money than TNT was willing to pay. I hope this wasn’t the case here as well

    I think Jada is really a nice person and all but as an actress, she doesn’t have that likable factor for me or rather I should say, make a strong impression on me that makes me want to follow her career or be a die hard fan. I’m sure she’s sad to see her show cancelled she has always seemed like she put everything into this show. However for me she doesn’t have the same draw other actors/actresses have, I mean her husband is entirely the opposite of me. I loved Will in I am Legend, he captivates me with his acting in every movie he just has “it.”

    I actually liked it , I thought it dealt with issues that affect a lot of people and i liked how they were dealt with for the most part. Kinda wanted to see what happened with some of the story lines.

    Hawthorne was a good show better then alot of this other reality junk on T.V. too bad it was cancelled.

    It was a great show…very well written with plenty of action and drama. TNT are idiots for letting it go or maybe we, the public are the idiots for allowing such a wonderful show to just end without our voices being heard… There are numerous horrible shows out there that haven’t been cancelled yet here’s a show with substance that you let go. It’s horrible that trash television gets all the ratings but a show that actually gets people thinking, a show that is as enduring as Hawthorne gets cancelled. BRAVO JADA… Well done. I’m in hopes that TNT will change their minds. If not, I’ll be waiting for something even better from you!!!

    I was enjoying the series, until the last few I wanted to see her and Tom make it and have their baby, but nothing went to way to happiness… So if it come back I hope it I would look at it:)

    I’m so sad to discover that the show is ending. I got to know the characters over the last three seasons and looked forward to it every week. I am utterly shocked to find out this (old) news according to the date of this statement. I wish the best for everyone involved and I hope it will be reconsidered and brought back to TNT. Da fans want it back!!!!
