Jack Cassidy ‘Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me’ “The Voice” Video – Watch Live Playoffs Performance
Jack Cassidy had a second chance on “The Voice” during the Live Playoffs on Monday. Check out the video below.
As Gossip Cop reported, Cassidy lost his Knockouts face-off with Vanessa Ferguson, with both aspiring stars giving impressive piano-focused performances. But for the Live Playoffs, each coach was allowed to pick one “comeback artist” from the group of eliminated contestants. And Alicia Keys chose to offer Cassidy redemption.
Perhaps needless to say, but he was thrilled to be back in the reality show’s running after Keys broke the news. “I know for a fact that we haven’t seen what I’ve seen,” the coach explained to the camera. In rehearsal she said he’s at 97 percent, but on stage, he does down to 70 percent. The goal now, of course, was 100 percent.
For his first and possibly live performance of the NBC competition, Cassidy (a member of the famously musical Cassidy family) sang the iconic Elton John song, “Don’t Let The Song Go Down On You.” Following the rendition, Keys was out of seat shouting “Yeah!” She said afterward, “It’s just a blessing… I’m rooting for you. Tonight I knew you were going to do this, what you did. This is absolutely that 100 I was talking about.”
Unfortunately, though, it was revealed at the end of the show that Cassidy did not score enough instant votes to make it into the Top 12, and Keys declined to put him through. He’s now eliminated again. Check out the video below.
