Adam Sandler’s Jack and Jill Getting Almost “0″ Love From Critics
7:09 pm, November 11th, 2011
It’s long been said that Adam Sandler is critic-proof at the box office.
That theory might get its ultimate test this weekend.
The comedian’s new Jack and Jill is currently at 3% “fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes, the site that aggregates movie reviews.
That means 97% of the reviewers who have seen the comedy (in which Sandler plays a man and his twin sister) gave it the proverbial thumb’s down.
For comparison’s sake, last week’s box office champ, Puss in Boots, scores an 82% fresh.
Sandler’s last starring role came in Just Go With It, which earned a 20% fresh rating with critics – certainly not good, but nearly seven times higher than Jack and Jill‘s score.
That movie earned more than $100 million.
Will Jack and Jill also find better luck with audiences than with critics? Check Gossip Cop‘s box office projections on Saturday morning.
