Jennifer Nettles and J Rome have done it again.

The “Duets” pair have been the show’s frontrunners since the very first week – and certainly took their talent to a new level on Wednesday’s show.

Nettles and J Rome performed Whitney Houston‘s “I Will Always Love You,” leaving their fellow competitors – including Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Robin Thicke – in absolute awe.

    Awesome. The two work well together. Jennifer is well diverse in her voice range. J Rome is a beast.

    J Rome has a great voice, but it is not the powerhouse that John has. Still, he impressed me with the fullness beyond what I thought he was capable of, and he was even hoarse when he tried to speak after singing, so it obviously took a lot out of him. I love how Jennifer pushes her people to go “over-the-top.” Ever since a Dish co-worker got me hooked on the show, I watch it the next evening using my Auto Hop on PrimeTime Anytime recordings. We start earlier than the show airs, and end earlier by cutting the 1.5 hours down to under an hour, which means sometimes I can watch even more TV AND get to bed early.
