J Balvin Survives Plane Crash (VIDEO)
J Balvin survived a plane crash in the Bahamas on Friday. Thankfully, he was not injured in the frightening accident. See video below.
A rep for the performer says in a statement, “I can confirm that there was an incident with a small plane on which J Balvin was departing the Bahamas. J Balvin Is OK, sustaining no injuries, but we do not have any further details on exactly what happened with the flight at this time.”
On Instagram, Balvin posted a short video showing the wreckage of the plane embedded in in the ground. He wrote in the caption, “Thanks for the miracle!!” He also wrote on his official website, “We are saved, God did not want me to die today,” and further said on Facebook, “Thank god we are okay.”
Similar messages were also posted on Balvin’s Twitter account, and he documented the aftermath of the crash on Snapchat, too. He also filmed a video of himself reflecting on the incident, again expressing thanks that he was unharmed. The accident came two months after Balvin’s album, Energia, topped the Billboard Latin Albums chart.
The Latin reggae star, who won a Latin Grammy last year, has also crossed over into the mainstream through collaborations with Ariana Grande, Robin Thicke, and Maroon 5. As Gossip Cop reported earlier this year, Balvin and Justin Bieber also performed their “Sorry” remix live for the first time back in January.
Bieber was a surprise guest during Balvin’s Mega 96.3 FM “Calibash” concert at the Staples Center. The superstar, who is no longer on Instagram, has not publicly commented on his friend’s scary accident. See Balvin’s posts below.
