Ivanka Trump Thanks America For Electing Father Donald As President
Ivanka Trump has tweeted for the first time since her father, Donald Trump, was elected 45th president of the United States on Wednesday. The businesswoman expressed gratitude to the country for voting for her dad and further promised, “He will never let you down!”
The Republican nominee officially became the president-elect early Wednesday morning when the final electoral results came in and it was determined he’d defeated Democratic rival Hillary Clinton. Donald’s 35-year-old daughter Ivanka was by his side as he delivered a victory speech at the New York Hilton in Midtown Manhattan. Also present for the speech were the mogul’s entire extended family, including wife Melania, children Donald Jr., Eric, Barron and Tiffany, and several of his grandchildren.
Ivanka, however, was the first member of the family to break their silence on social media following Donald’s win. A few hours after her dad was announced the president-elect and Clinton delivered her concession speech, the fashion mogul tweeted, “Thank you, America, for the trust that you placed in my father. He will never let you down!” Ivanka, of course, has been a staunch supporter of her dad throughout his campaign, and also holds a managing position at the Trump Organization, along with her brothers Donald Jr. and Eric. Additionally, she runs her own personal Ivanka Trump fashion brand, and will continue to do so with her father in the White House.
