Jurassic World Claws Its Way Ahead Of Inside Out At Weekend Box Office
Jurassic World has once again clawed its way to the top of the box office, beating Inside Out, which came in a close second place.
Jurassic World, which broke multiple box office records, took in a total of $54.2 million in its third weekend out. That was enough to edge out Inside Out, which still had a very impressive second week, with ticket sales totaling $52.1 million. Nabbing a disappointing third place with $32.9 million was the sequel Ted 2. That’s well below the first film’s $54.4 million debut in 2012 when it scored first place.
The new family film Max secured fourth place with $12.2 million in its first weekend. Taking the fifth spot was Spy, with $7.8 million.
Rounding out the Top 10 were former box office champ San Andreas. The Dwayne Johnson movie earned $5.3 million and sixth place. Next in seventh was the Sundance Film Festival favorite Dope, with $2.9 million in ticket sales. Insidious Chapter 3 came in eight place with $2 million, followed by ninth place finisher Mad Max: Fury Road, with $1.7 million.
Grabbing the final spot in the Top 10 was Avengers: Age of Ultron. After nine weeks, the movie made $1.6 million in the box office. What did you see this weekend?
