Amy Schumer tackles gun safety laws in a sketch on an upcoming episode of “Inside Amy Schumer.” Watch the full video below.

Schumer’s bit sees her as the co-host of a home shopping show dedicated to selling firearms to everyone and anyone who wants them. “This is a gun,” her character says while brandishing a weapon. “Just your regular, run-of-the-mill, meat-and-potatoes handgun. Now how cute is that?” Her co-host adds, “It’s like a toy but it’s extremely real,” to which she says, “Here is what’s great about this: Pretty much anyone can purchase this!”

A few callers then dial in to inquire about buying a gun, but despite one man’s concern about having “several violent felonies,” and another man admitting he’s “a suspected terrorist on the no-fly list,” both are assured, “You can absolutely get a gun… as long as you buy it on the internet or at a gun show.” Schumer’s character continues, “And just as a reminder to all the parents at home, these make perfect stocking-stuffers. For as young as — it doesn’t matter. These are great for any age group.”

Despite the humorous nature of Schumer’s sketch, gun safety is a topic very important to the comedienne. As Gossip Cop reported, a man opened fire in a Lafayette movie theater last summer during a showing of her film Trainwreck. Two women were killed and several others injured before the shooter turned the gun on himself.

Following the tragedy, Schumer teamed up with her cousin, Senator Chuck Schumer, to call for Congress to push for tighter gun control legislation. Watch the “Inside Amy Schumer” gun sketch below.
