Tyler Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween Inferno scared up another win this weekend, earning $16.7 million. That was more than enough to secure the top spot and hold at bay Inferno, the latest film adaptation of Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon series, starring Tom Hanks as the mystery-solving professor. The movie debuted in second place with $15 million in ticket sales. Meanwhile, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back nabbed third place with $9.5 million. Receipts of $8.5 million added up to a fourth-place finish for The Accountant. And Ouija: Origin of Evil came in fifth with $7 million.
Rounding out the Top 10 was The Girl On The Train in sixth with ticket sales of $4.3 million. Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children followed with $3.9 million to take the number seven spot. Securing the eighth position was Keeping Up With The Jonses, having earned $3.4 million, while Storks took ninth with $2.8 million. Just making it into the last slot in the Top 10 was the Hindi-language film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The movie, which edged out both Deepwater Horizon and Kevin Hart: What Now? had a box office haul of $2.1 million.
