In Touch Tries to Thwart David Beckham Lawsuit with New ‘Adultery’ Claims

Two months ago, Gossip Cop was the first outlet to report that David Beckham was going to file a lawsuit against In Touch over a cover story in which the tabloid alleged the soccer great had slept with a $10,000-a-night hooker.

Also named in the lawsuit was Irma Nici, the prostitute who claimed she had five paid sexual encounters with Beckham in 2007, including one in which another hooker was involved.

Now In Touch – in an effort to show the court that it believes its claims are accurate – has filed papers in California, alleging Beckham has a “reputation for adultery.”

The documents, obtained by RadarOnline, claim the tabloid has a source who allegedly saw text messages from Beckham to a woman who worked in a lingerie store, and that “Beckham did have a relationship with this lingerie saleswoman.”

Another piece of evidence, according to In Touch, is that the mag says it has a source who spotted Beckham once in the lobby of L.A.’s Sunset Towers Hotel “speaking anxiously on the phone” before leaving with a “pretty young blonde woman.”

Let’s look at these claims…

Both the lingerie saleswoman and Beckham have denied any relationship, yet In Touch maintains it somehow knows better.

Additionally, the second scenario doesn’t prove anything. Even if some woman picked him up at the hotel, it doesn’t automatically mean he cheated. It could have been a friend or employee giving him a lift.

A pal close to Beckham tells RadarOnline that In Touch‘s attempt to claim the soccer star may have been unfaithful “is a smokescreen and it is not going to hold up in court… He is not backing down, he plans to go full throttle in this matter and this posturing, with no evidence and no facts, isn’t going to stall the inevitable.”

For the record: Gossip Cop has no knowledge of Beckham being unfaithful.

    These tabloids are just plain awful. I don’t understand why they write such. Even if he was with someone, what can they do about it? It’s his life. It seems that all they want to do is enable the women that are claiming this to sue him and to spread it all over the world. Even if it is true, then one woman was worth $10,000, or whatever. They have already earned their money. Believe me, those women will not be with a man for free, especially if he is married, they are just not that type. I cannot understand why the tabloids do such. How can people enjoy reading such?

    Sometimes its sucks to be David Beckham it seems that whenever he is seen with a woman other than his wife a cheating rumor rises. He is a good looking famous guy and women would love to throw themselves at him so this cheating rumor would never stop as long as he is married. And nobody really know if Beckham was ever unfaithful only he know the truth not even Victoria knows she will believe whatever David tells her if there is no evidence of him cheating. Sad though they have 3 kids must be hard to keep them away from these rumors.
