Donald Trump Immigration Ban Hearing Live Stream: Listen Online
The Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco will hold a hearing Tuesday to decide if President Donald Trump’s immigration ban will be reinstated or remain on hold. Gossip Cop has a live stream available online. Check it out below.
Last month, Trump signed an executive order temporarily banning immigrants and refugees from seven Middle Eastern countries from entering the United States. Among the people subject to the travel ban included permanent residents and those with visas and green cards. The president ordered the ban as a national security measure to ensure that terrorists don’t enter the country, but those opposed to the edict argue that it’s unconstitutional and negatively impacts innocent Muslims.
Earlier this month, a lower court in Seattle managed to block the president’s order and many foreigners were once again allowed into the country. At Tuesday’s hearing, however, three federal judges will listen to arguments from lawyers for the Department of Justice, who aim to put Trump’s ban back in place.
The federal appeals court is providing a live audio broadcast of the proceedings, which will be conducted via telephone and not held in a courtroom. Judges and lawyers won’t actually be present for the hour-long oral argument, as it was scheduled on an emergency basis and the parties are located in different jurisdictions.
The live stream of the immigration ban hearing begins at 6 p.m. ET. Check it out below. NOTE: The live stream is no longer available.
