Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber + 150 More Stars Help “Save The Children” [VIDEO]

(Save The Children)

Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Eminem, Ryan Seacrest, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Bieber and dozens of other celebrities with massive social media power have signed on to Save The Children‘s “I’m Gonna Be Your Friend” campaign to raise funds and awareness for the drought crisis in East Africa.

The campaign kicks off today, with more than 150 stars pledging to promote the cause through Facebook and Twitter.

“High Tide or Low Tide,” a 1973 Bob Marley song, serves as the inspirational core of the effort.

Celebrities have been asked to promote a short film by director Kevin MacDonald built around the Marley anthem. The video will be made available for digital sale, with all proceeds benefiting Save The Children.

You can check out the video below.

An estimated 12 million people are facing devastating drought in Somalia and neighboring countries.

For more information on how you can help, please visit the campaign’s official site here or Marley’s Facebook page.

While it’s awesome that these people are using their celebrity to help people who are in dire need of it, what about the children that are starving every day right here in the United States?
