iHeartRadio Music Awards Winners 2016

Sunday’s 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards are celebrating the best music from the past year, and Gossip Cop has a full list of the winners!

Nominations for the iHeartRadio Music Awards, now in its third year, were announced in February. Swift and The Weeknd tied to lead the pack with seven nods each. The songstress, however, was also named the first-ever winner of the Best Tour Award just last week, technically giving her the most nominations.

This year’s awards will hand out honors in 29 categories, and a handful of them are new. Instead of Artist of the Year, there’s two top prizes: Male Artist of the Year and Female Artist of the Year. Naturally, Swift and The Weeknd are both up for those awards.

Adele, who is competing against Swift for Female Artist of the Year, is another pre-show winner. Last Wednesday, she was awarded Song of the Year for “Hello.” The superstar was also nominated for two of the fan-voted categories, Best Lyrics and the new Most Meme-able Moment award.

While the iHeartRadio Music Awards cover a variety of genres, Pharrell will present U2 with the iHeartRadio Innovator Award for the group’s overall contributions to pop culture. Pharrell was the honor’s first recipient in 2014. Check out the full list of categories below, and come back throughout the night for live updates on the winners!
