Iggy Azalea Named New Host of MTV’s House of Style
Iggy Azalea has been tapped as the new host of MTV’s fashion show, “House of Style.”
The series originally ran on the network from 1989 to 2000, with a number of model hosts, including Cindy Crawford, Rebecca Romijn and Molly Sims.
Azalea said, “I am so excited to bring back this iconic show for another generation of teenagers.”
“The biggest impact that ‘House of Style’ had on pop culture is its ability to make fashion fun and interesting to fans who are both diehard fashionistas or not at all,” added the “Fancy” singer.
During the eight-episode season, leading up to the MTV Video Music Awards on August 24, the Aussie rapper will hunt for street style trends at Los Angeles’ best vintage stores and tour music video sets with Rita Ora and designer Jeremy Scott.
Azalea will also cover the VMA pre-show, offering commentary on fashion and performances, before hosting a fashion recap the following night.
The new season of “House of Style” is set to premiere on August 4.
