While many reality stars have are taking to Twitter to offer their condolences to Taylor Armstrong following her estranged husband Russell‘s apparent suicide, Ice-T used the tragedy to take a hurtful swipe at the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast member.

After a follower informed Ice-T of Armstrong’s alleged hanging, the “Ice Loves Coco” star tweeted, “Bad Joke… But alotta those wives would make me consider it [suicide]“

Where is the “joke” here?

Jokes are supposed to be funny, but Ice-T’s remark is just plain inappropriate and tasteless.

What do you think?

Maybe he should’ve kept that to himself but he has a point. Those women are ridiculous, all of them (Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Orange County etc.)

  • Fed-up

It seems that all of that contributed to Armstrong’s suicide. Everything was going bad including his wife. She was divorcing him. You ever thought that maybe that is the way Ice-T actually feels about the cast… joke or no joke. I have never watched it.

There is a time and place for everything. Obviously making that joke now is ill-timed and classless.

i love me some ice t on law and order but he is totally out of line here but with his man faced wife coco who also lacks in class and sophistication its no surprise he has said something like this. sorry but his wife contributed to his suicide and was probably so busy trying to slander him to win her court case she didn’t even consider how this would affect him as well as his financial woes. if im not mistaken he has children and while i understand depression and other mental illness i think suicide is about the most selfish thing a person can do especially when there are children involved. there are so many hotlines, places people can go to but they just give up. it just makes me angry because i don’t understand how people can do that not only to themselves but to their family. i was depressed back in high school and if it had not been for my best friend trinity who simply told me how selfish i was being i never would’ve saw how it affected my parents, friends and sought the professional help i needed. everyone thinks their lives are so hard but in reality especially those living in the united states, its a hell of a lot better than those living in third world countries. i love this country but america is mostly filled with hateful, racist, cry babies who wouldn’t survive a day much less one foot in the shoes of someone else.

I dont get it. He wasn’t gay. I thought it was ok to say anything about any one as long as they were not gay. If they are gay walk on egg shells.
On the other hand I dont care about any of it.

what i don’t get is where do you come up with “he wasn’t gay”?

  • twilight is underneath kstew

How can a spouse push you to suicide when you are not even with them. He could have gotten help. But in all honesty if he was suffering from depression even if he was getting help it doesnt always work as quickly as one has hopes it will. No one knows what drove him to it so to say that his wife drove him or contributed is an uneducated guess. Do I think it is right she went to People magazine and told the story she did? No. They have children together and some things should be kept out of the public eye and ear! Those children may see that some day. So many things could have “contributed” to his death from some inconsiderate moron at work to his wife, to just plain depression. I dont think it’s fair to blame his wife. We have no idea what was going on in their lives.

It’s not an uneducated guess when the man said himself the divorce was a “devastating time for him.” That divorce news went out on July 15th and he committed suicide not that far after, and even his ex wife said she believes it played a part in his suicide. I’m not saying she is the main reason but to say that the divorce didn’t play a part in this along with his financial woes, and being on tv which he has said was “overwhelming” come on now. Obviously things were getting to him but I’m sorry suicide is never the answer, and I”m not placing the full blame on her because she can’t control his actions. He took his own life he is the one that is to blame. Typically there are signs to look out for with depression sometimes its not there but most times there are cries for help. And trust me I agree treatments for depression don’t work quickly as there are no quick remedies for depression, it is an uphill battle every day to not surrender to that dark void so many people fall into. This man has been vocal about things that were upsetting him and she should’ve kept her mouth shut and settle their issues behind closed doors when clearly he was already stressed out. But that’s the thing with reality tv people are so wrapped in the “celebrity” of it all, they fail to see true reality of what is happening right in front of them.

From the looks of your picture it would seem like you’re a little to old to be making such ridiculously stupid and immature comments . I’m thinking you’re the one lacking class . Get over yourself .

  • Madelynn

Ice was probably uncomfortable and made a joke. Whatever. When do you see a gangsta rapper acting like Halle Berry? (classy) If your hating-don’t. :)

  • Madelynn

and uh hes not gay have you seen what he does with coco?

  • MinionsBaby

Since when are Ice T and his freak show wife even relevant? *eye roll* I feel bad for the child of this man, I find suicide, regardless of the reason, to be such a selfish move on a parents part.

  • Deborah W.

I agree with him. Can you imagine being married to one of those gold digging bitches???
He should have considered divorce, however, not suicide….

  • Seriously

Since Ice-T stars on a little show called, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, that makes him pretty damn relevant. Meanwhile the people you are talking about are from a reality show. Maybe you should refresh your memory on the meaning of the word relevant. BTW, judging someone after they’ve committed suicide for whatever reason is just tactless and pointless. So share some of that contempt you have for Ice-T and Coco (who didn’t even have anything to do with this) with yourself.

  • Nikimd

I think everyone should just lighten up. I don’t think Ice T’s intentions were bad.

  • Alleygal918

    I thought it was funny…lmao
Cmon people if you can see the humor in that. I guess maybe he could have not posted it on twitter but he did. Oh Well.

I don’t think Taylor Armstrong was the cause of her husband’s suicide. Perhaps a little, but according to the news today, Russell Armstrong was being sued for a scam in which he got people to invest in a nonexistent company. Also, apparently his credit cards were maxed and he was broke. They were apparently struggling mightily to keep up with the truly rich housewives. Now that seems a much more realistic reason to commit suicide. Divorce is easy compared to that.

  • Will do

Glad someone else addresses it during the same time I was thinking it…. Ice T meant nothing more about what he said, it’s just the way others took it. Maybe now Bravo will be extra careful at how much of the cast business they will air on television.

  • Will Do

    Uuuummmm Ma’am, it’s actually spelled Ice T, not ice-tea.

It made me smile. He doesn’t mean any harm. The people on these shows ARE incredibly annoying. That was his point.
