“Hunger Games” On Fire With First Official “Motion” Poster

(Lionsgate)

The first official movie poster for The Hunger Games has been released, and it’s a sure indication that the onscreen adaptation of the Suzanne Collins novel will be on fire.

The “motion poster” (see below) features the heroine Katniss Everdeen‘s mockingjay pin enveloped in flames, symbolizing her nickname for the Games as “The girl who was on fire.”

On top is the Capitol’s haunting slogan for the annual fight-to-the-death competition: “MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR.”

The highly anticipated movie, out March 23, 2012, stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark and Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne.

Check out the moving poster below.

Can’t be too highly anticipated: First I’ve heard of it, and I don’t recognize a single named actor.

    NEXT!

At least you’re doing a fine job of proving your ignorance, if nothing else.

I have no desire to see this movie at all. Don’t care about the actors cast, or the story. The PR for this flick, is desperately trying to convince people this is the next potter or twilight with that wide appeal, when the fact is, I could care less, and no one I know cares either. We’re the demo that they keep paying blogs like Gossipcop to pimp this out to, and it just. Ain’t. Workin. Lol

just because you haven’t heard of it doesn’t mean it’s not “highly anticipated” maybe you’re old or something because it’s target is young audience

The books were so-so. No real love story, more of a blood bath. When the author could not come up with story she resorted to how many ways she could kill or destroy a person’s body. Book one of the series was the best of the three. By the end of the third book I just did not care about the story.
