Hulk Hogan Drops, Then Refiles $100 Million Sex Tape Lawsuit Against Gawker

Hulk Hogan is not letting Gawker off the hook.

He sued the website last October after Gawker posted a short clip of Hogan’s sexual encounter with Heather Clem, the ex-wife of his friend Bubba the Love Sponge.

Hogan then dropped his federal case, voluntarily dismissing the lawsuit “without prejudice,” according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

But like any good wrestler, his next move was to further slam Gawker, and he did that by refiling the lawsuit in Florida state court, where he’s already suing Clem.

The reasoning behind all the legal maneuvering is simple.

Hogan wanted to take the Gawker case out of the federal court and have it as well as Clem’s lawsuit both heard in Florida state court. Consolidating the two cases will save him lots of attorneys’ fees and paperwork.

Hogan already resolved a separate suit against Bubba.

    Maybe because it was a bogus suit to begin with. This is local for me so I hear about it more than I should. But I have it under good authority that Hogan knew the tape existed basically right after it was made, but he never saw it and was told that it was destroyed. It “supposedly” was being shopped by a disgruntled employee of Clem’s, but many sources have said that Hogan himself was behind the leaking.

    It’s all a little too convienent that he gets himself back into the news when he has something to promote. Like right now and the restaurant he opened in Clearwater.

    This whole thing still perplexes me. Who the fuck would want to watch HULK HOGAN fuck? More to the point, who would want to wach Hogan get a taste of of Bubbah the Love Sponges sloppy seconds? That’s just a whole lotta wrong.
