Hulk Hogan GMA Video: Gawker “Picked The Wrong Guy” – WATCH!
Hulk Hogan gave his first TV interview about winning his sex tape lawsuit against Gawker on Wednesday’s “Good Morning America.” Watch below.
As Gossip Cop reported, Hogan was awarded $115 million in emotional and economic damages by a Florida jury last week. On Monday, the six jurors added $25.1 million in punitive damages. Gawker, which has maintained it was exercising its First Amendment right when it posted nine seconds of footage of Hogan having sex, has vowed to appeal.
“They picked the wrong guy this time,” Hogan said of his refusal to settle the issue out of court. “I knew what we were doing was right. And even if we would have lost, it would have been good because everybody would have known what Gawker was all about, because I exposed them.”
Hogan admitted to fantasizing about being in the WrestleMania ring with Gawker “puppet master” Nick Denton, and argued that boasting about his sex life is far different from the website posting video. “I will be naked forever, until my children’s children children die, because of the Internet,” said the star.
That said, Hogan insists he has never watched the tape, and still swears he did not know he was being recorded. And yet he does take responsibility for the main action: Sleeping with his best friend’s wife. “I don’t agree with any of the stuff I did… I’m accountable,” Hogan said in the interview.
He went on, “It’s not who I am. The only thing I can say is I pray to God people can learn from my mistake.” Check out the full interview below.
