Hugh Jackman Does ALS Ice Bucket Challenge: “I Know I’m Late” (VIDEO)
Hugh Jackman is single-handedly bringing back the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Check out the video below!
As Gossip Cop reported, the ice bucket challenge became a viral sensation last year. Typically, someone would get a bucket of ice or ice water dumped on his or her head, and then challenge three people to do the same. Those who refused to take part were expected to donate to the ALS Association.
Of course, many did the stunt and donated anyway. The challenge became a global trend over the course of summer 2014, and even into the fall. Celebrities and everyday people alike took part, with some just having some silly fun, and others recognizing how it could be used to spread awareness of ALS, and the feeling of one’s body becoming numb.
Jackman was one of dozens of stars who participated last year, and although the ALS Association held the campaign again this summer, very celebs did it again. But the movie star has now filmed his 2015 Ice Bucket Challenge video in support of MND Australia, an advocacy organization for people suffering from motor neuron disease, of which ALS is a subset. Gossip Cop can’t decide what is our favorite part of Jackman’s clip. Is it that he’s wearing a tuxedo shirt and bow tie, sitting in a bathtub, or the way he exclaims “Oh, yeah!” afterward?!
The ALS Association took note of Jackson’s video shortly after he posted it on Saturday morning, tweeting to the actor, “Never too late to take the #ALSIceBucketChallenge! Thanks @RealHughJackman for spreading #ALS awareness!!” Never too late indeed. Check out the new video below, as well as Jackman’s epic contribution last year with the cast of Pan, and tell us what you think!
